Stewart Garrett is a highly accomplished musician that has worked with theatre groups and school groups as a Music Teacher, Education Support and Production Musical Director. A highlight of Stewart's career was training under Jonathon Welsh at the School of Hard Knocks.

Stewart is an experienced music teacher in education, specifically in Special Education focusing on levels prep to year 12 and early childhood years.

Stewart is an accomplished level musician in a variety of instruments including Piano, Drums, Classical Guitar, Double Bass, Voice and Composition.
 He has completed his certificate in ANZCA Grade 8 Piano, 
AMEB Grade 5 Piano,
 AMEB Grade 5 Voice,
 AMEB Grade 7 Classical Guitar, ANZCA Grade 4 Drums, and AMEB grade 3 Double Bass/Guitar.

Stewart is a musical director, producer, dramaturge for school productions and theatre companies around the eastern suburbs. Stewart has been appointed Musical Director for Phoenix Theatre Company ‘Into the woods’ and ‘Baby: the musical’.  

Highly qualified Stewart holds a Bachelor of Education from Deakin University and a Certificate 4 in Disability. He also holds current Working with Children Check. 

As well as being an experienced music teacher Stewart is an accomplished professional musician performing regularly in a signed Melbourne based band 'Brittle Sun’.

Stewart has a wide appreciation of all styles of music and is enthusiastic about engaging young people in music appreciation and performance.
